Anne LaGattuta, born in 1993, grew up in the small town of Litchfield, Connecticut. Now living in Boston, LaGattuta graduated from Massachusetts College of Art and Design in the spring of 2015. At Mass Art, she double majored in Painting and History of Art. Early in her career she started out her oil paintings with a focus in representation and had her own solo show at the Oliver Wolcott Library in Litchfield, Connecticut, which featured a number of paintings of pastries. After traveling to Mexico and Central America, LaGattuta has now moved on to works that explore abstraction with inspirations drawn from landscape and color.
